what is there not to like? great donuts and they have Mckenzie's recipes!

Supposeively really popular place to get "the best" donuts. I liked the service and the servers, but the facility itself was like meh and the donuts weren't like the best I ever had.

Donuts were good but I don't think people of color are welcome at this location.. Blank stare and eye rolls when I walked in no good morning or anything..

Buttermilk drops and cinnamon rolls. Heaven.

They have good fresh doughnuts and pastries.

Have been to this location many if times and have always received great service. Tonight the two ladies working were awesome. Very polite and helpful. Got some of the McKenzie buttermilk drop doughnuts. Brings back memories from when I was a kid.

Tastee usually has great customer service but for some reason tonight that went out the window. I asked when the next batch of glazed donuts were ready he didn't bother to check and just ignored my request.

Barely any donuts in glass case. Kastleburgers not as good as I once remembered!

Donuts we're good and the coffee was also good. Reasonably priced. Staff was friendly, but the interior of the store was a bit dated. No regrets choosing it over one of the larger chain stores adjacent to Tastee Donut.

Always a pleasure to eat here. Breakfast, lunch, or donuts, yippee!

The best king cake in town! Not a coffee cake!

Ok I never leave bad reviews but I recently stopped here bc I was craving glazed donuts, now i know they weren't going to be hot but i was ok with that. The issue was they were hard and stale, i bought a half dozen and threw 5 1/2 away. Im throughly disappointed.... Tastee's I's my go to for donuts but this visit was no good....

Always consistent. They never let me down. Everything is fresh

Better donuts than I expected

The McKenzie king cakes haven't been great this season so far. I'm disappointed because they've always reminded me of the old McKenzie's :( & what I've been getting lately is awful! Anyway, I'm hoping they get it right before the end of the season.

Evey time I go there it's a nightmare.. Food is always messed up.. waste of time and money....

I find them high priced, but LOVE their buttermilk drops!

So much better than krispy cremes

Not like it used to be. This place is disgusting and the employees look like they're on drugs. Too busy outside smoking cigarettes to bother with you.... Not just once but multiple times I've gone.The only one worth going to is on Loyola in Kenner. They always have a great selection and are good about moving the line along even when they're busy.

I went on my break & i bought hamburger with fries my burger was still raw inside i perfer not to buy burgers there only the donuts i went twice to get my order right & i came back to work it was still raw thats not profesnal at all

Tastee's NEVER has FRESH donuts, much less HOT!!! I was told that they don't even make their donuts in house anymore at THIS location. Instead they're delivered by another Tastee's store,ALMOST, daily!!! Explains why they're NEVER FRESH and ALWAYS HARD AS A ROCK!!!

They are bringing back all of the Mackenzie's bakery stuff

ever since the manager had left place went down hill donuts are hard not fresh even when u call in and place orders cashiers walk away and play dumb when ur standing at the counter and they act as if they don't see you . The harahan store is way better

An absolute crown jewel of New Orleans bakeries. This location has served up fresh sweets and hot breakfast for decades. They have not just survived, but have thrived despite being across from Krispy Kreme for quite some time now. I also love how they also serve McKenzie's original desserts like their World famous King Cakes.

The closest you'll get to what McKenzies was. Yummy!

So I thoroughly enjoy going and trying out different donut places on EPIC CHEATDAYS and I was EXTREMELY excited to try out tasty Donuts I drove all the from Baker which is about a TWO-HOUR drive to get there and the male cashier tried to rush me out the door before I even had time come in & take in the establishment and really look at everything just brushing me along, at one point I was so frustrated I actually had to tell the guy to chill out, there was an older woman with him she was very courteous and suggestive but sadly her customer service quality was overshadowed with the male cashier, and the worst part was the product (Donuts) unfortunately was just short of just OK, the only thing that saved me from complete disappointment on my cheat day was the fact that I went to the Krispy Kreme across the street and also bought donuts from them

The best menu item here is the McKenzie Kingcake (offered seasonally). The location has limited parking options, though it does feature a drive-thru. The tastee burgers are a hit or miss, and the other McKenzie recipe items (buttermilk drops, blackout cake, pineapple upside down cake, etc.) are pretty decent. The morning and afternoon staff is pleasant enough, but evening hours bring out a third string lackluster kitchen performance (hence, do not order tastee burgers at this location in the evening; even my teenage son and his friends commented negatively on the quality).

Fair. Love the butter milk drops.

I love their hot chocolate and their donuts are better to me than Krispy Kreme's

On yesterday me and my daughter went to Tastee Donuts I ordered two grits bacon eggs toast they gave me cold grits one eating utensil and instead of bacon they gave me sausage I went back through the drive-through and ask them about the bacon she tells me that they didn't have any bacon so they gave me sausage I asked what why didn't you let me know I would have went somewheres else else

Donuts are good. Petit fours are my absolute fav. Do yourself a favor and do not order their frozen coffee. It used to be really good, but they never blend it properly anymore to the point where you basically are chewing milk with ice and thats only if it goes up the straw. Long story short. Do the donuts, skip the coffee

Love there krulers(French)

Tried to ignore the bad reviews and still support them, but I’d rather go to Krispy across the street. Attitudes are HORRIBLE. Like it was problem I came in on a day when the store was empty (AM of October 30, 19)I know it’s NO, so you can’t expect amazing attitudes everywhere...but nothing’s wrong with common courtesy. Drive to Loyola location.

Great food. Fantastic customer service. Always sharing a laugh with the staff sometimes. I love their lunches and iced coffees.

Food is pretty good for the price you pay. It's a nice cozy place. I've been here many times and service can be good, but it can also be bad. They usually have good service. But there has been a time or two when the service was terrible. If they mess up your order they fix it immediately and tend to your every need. Plenty of parking spaces and plenty of food to order. They are very welcoming and I'd definitely come back some time soon.

Always loved this location 20 minutes from my house. I had a bad experience last Sunday when I went to order some castle burgers. 11pm at night I pull up tell the lady ( heavyset in her 30's) I wanted some castle burgers she said its gonna be a 35 minute wait that she had three BIG orders in front of me in which I didnt see anyone waiting for any burgers. Anyways I said ok then she said oh sorry my fryer is down right now and I dont know when it will be back up. Hmmm I think she was just lazy and didnt want to do it because you just said 35 minute wait and now that I didnt just pull off you tell me the fryer is down lol well how will you make them other 3 bigggg orders you had. If you dont want to do your job go home. So I drove to the one in kenner in which they made them with no problem.

I used to come here with my grandparents every week when I was little. Great memories and I can’t eat apple fritters anywhere else. Best bakery I have ever been to:)

They have the best buttermilk drops ever and not to mention they have the McKenzie Kingcake OMG!!!
